This is a video created by Red Giant, the software company making colour grading and effects tools for video editing. In this ten minute epic promo for their Magic Bullet Suite 11, they utilise a physical object as a symbol of a plot device that controls the colour and effect of the video, thus being a “plot device” in its self. Watch and see, it is fantastically done, the use of colour may be exaggerated but you get the idea.
